Our Story
ALC Ideas was created in 2020 to help companies and individuals with not only conventional structural design problems, but also to bring in new ideas where fresh, novel perspectives are required.
In our continuously developing technological environment working with large datasets is unavoidable. Therefore it is especially true for complex engineering projects, that we have to be able to cut through the mass of unfiltered information to find and isolate the data we need, organize it, and use statistical methods to optimize for the applied design processes and their outcomes.
At ALC Ideas we put emphasis on design methods that are built to find the most optimal outcome, and also prioritize on how that information is presented for the client in a way that is clear, straightforward, and easy to interpret for both engineers and non-technical personnel.
For the most optimal design outcome, we utilize computational design methods using Grasshopper or Dynamo, or develop custom-built applications or plugins for special purposes.
ALC Ideas was founded and is managed by Adam Czegledi, who is currently the only permanent employee of the company. For larger projects or tighter deadlines, we work with carefully selected subcontractors, in which case we can also provide the detailed technical background of these companies or individuals.
The company is based in Hong Kong, but we are happy to help with your engineering projects from all around the world.

Adam is a chartered Hungarian civil engineer specialized in tunnels and underground structures, but over his 15 years professional career, he also gained experience in general structural and geotechnical design, such as steel and reinforced concrete structures, and earth retaining structures.
